✦AURETERRA✦

Four kingdoms, ancient gods, and magic that moves like a whisper.

☾ AURETERRA

Aureterra is the medieval continent upon which the four kingdoms are located. Magic exists here, but it is rarely seen—more often felt as a whisper, a coincidence, or something that cannot quite be explained.

Mythical beings do not reveal themselves freely, and most people believe they do not exist at all.

✦ Each kingdom has its own distinct laws and customs.

Location: East of Solanum, where the land meets the sea.

Caelum thrives as the gateway to distant shores. Its ports bustle with merchants, sailors, and travelers from across the known world.

Its salt-weathered cities cling to coastlines and cliffs, their economies built upon fishing, trade, and shipbuilding.

Caelum's people are practical and wind-hardened, placing more faith in sturdy vessels than in whispered tales of magic.

✦ God: Levitharos

Location: In the south, at the heart of the continent.

Solanum Dragonspire is the most powerful of Aureterra's four kingdoms. It bases its authority upon ancestry rather than arcane display.

According to royal histories, its castle was founded atop an ancient dragon nesting ground—hence the name—and the ruling bloodline claims descent from those who once stood beside the great beasts.

No dragon has been seen in recorded memory. The nests, if they ever existed, now hold only dust and stone. Scholars from neighboring kingdoms question whether the old carvings depict real creatures or merely exaggerated symbols of power.

✦ Goddess: Åsne

Location: West of Solanum.

Vaelis is draped in perpetual mist. Its rolling hills and ancient ruins disappear into fog that rolls in from somewhere beyond the mountains and never truly lifts.

No one knows where the fog comes from, though some say it comes from the goddess herself. The people of Vaelis navigate by memory and marked stones, while outsiders often lose their way within hours of crossing the border.

Some believe the fog is natural; others claim it guards secrets older than the kingdoms themselves. Vaelis rarely interacts with the other kingdoms. It appears to fare well, though no outsider truly knows its condition today.

✦ Goddess: Serein

Location: South of Solanum.

Deep forests and untouched wilds define Gardenia. Here, magic manifests in subtle ways: strange lights flicker between branches, herbs heal beyond expectation, and streams sing at dusk.

Most citizens dismiss these occurrences as tricks of light or old superstition. The Sylviens, a legendary unicorn species, are said to roam the kingdom's deepest woods. No confirmed sighting has been recorded in generations.

✦ Goddess: Dahlia

SYLVIENS

Dahlia's gift to her subjects

Created by Dahlia herself, Sylviens are not common unicorns. They are aggressive, elusive, and dangerous—not because they wish to be, but because Dahlia instructed them to defend themselves after humans began hunting them long ago.

This is why they have faded into legend. Sylviens can appear in every natural horse color.

Magic across all four kingdoms remains rare and is often doubted. When it surfaces, it binds itself to nature: growth, decay, weather, and the creatures dwelling beyond civilization's edge.

Most people live their entire lives without witnessing anything beyond coincidence and folk wisdom. Still, stories persist of those who have glimpsed something more.
